40 Times Around the Earth

This month Kidz Blitz Ministries is 15 years old, and it’s been quite a ride. When my wife, Tammie, and I started this ministry, I had no idea it would grow as fast as it did or last as long as it has. I am amazed and humbled.

I know deep down it is not a result of my ingenuity or creativity. I am just not that gifted. God simply did something beyond my ability, and I got to go along for the ride.

Reaching the 15 year milestone has prompted me to do some math. It was an eye-opener for me. I want to share it with you.

In 15 years…

• Kidz Blitz directors have driven to enough events to circle the globe over 40 times.

• Kidz Blitz has blasted enough toilet paper to stretch from New York to Miami and, one five pound bag at a time, smashed over 4 tons of grits.

• Kidz Blitz events have been seen by hundreds of thousands of people in over 40 denominations.

• Approximately 50,000 people have made first-time professions of faith in Jesus at Kidz Blitz events.

Thank you to all of you who have trusted us by bringing us into your churches for events, purchasing curriculum, or attending one of our conferences. I am deeply grateful and honored that you have allowed this ministry to share in the work you do at your church.

I am currently finishing a book about the Kidz Blitz story that I hope to have out by the end of this year. It is an unfiltered account of events leading up to, and during, the formation of Kidz Blitz. It is not all pretty. There were good times and bad, victories and defeats, highs and lows. But my prayer is that everyone in kidmin knows one thing: Jesus can do stuff through you that you can’t do on your own.
